I have a friend who told me white Marines calling each other Devil mutt sometimes, even though they are all white. You can be German and Italian like my fiance, you are still white. Mix with other race, you are a true mutt.
It doesn't matter though, not sure why this is such a big deal.
99% of North, Central, and South America speaks either Spanish, English, Portugese or French. Hate to break it to the anti white or anti European folks, but if you are in the western hemisphere you are European cultured and most likely part European genetically. That includes blacks. So lets face it, we are nearly all, European muts.
I am infact very white looking, but not 100% white as I most likely would not be with my family being here in the western hemispere for over 100 years.
I'm not really European per se in my lineage. Welsh, Scottish and Scandanavian. Touch of Norman blood. Lol, yes...a mutt. So be it. Explains my affinity for mixed breed dogs. Birds of a feather yes?

Yeah I don't get why white Americans call themselves mutts, they are not. All Europeans, except Basques, are related to each other relatively recently.

I am well aware of what I am so speak for yourself please.
I am mixed person - African, Asian, European and Amerindian, in terms of heritage and culture. Not just a European mutt. I reflect my country/region of descent in various ways. So really, I'm a Caribbean mutt...and would never want to be anything else.

Well, now we've expanded he definition of European to include Asians and blacks with no connection whatsoever to Europe, what's the point of this thread again?
I get that it's supposed to be about the superiority of European culture and white people, but I'm a hit confused as to the train of thought that leads the OP to think this ridiculous false claim somehow furthers that goal.
Why does anyone even care about their bloodlines??

I enjoy knowing the origin of my very unusual maiden surname and why my father's ancestors fled to the United States from Western Europe in the middle of the eighteenth century, eventually marrying into a Quaker family from North Carolina. (Many people don't know that there were Quakers living in the south prior to the Civil War.) I have learned so much history by investigating my forebears, much more than I absorbed in high school history class, and I find it thrilling to know how my family fits into it all.
I understand the interest in one's family history; I've gathered a lot of it myself. What I don't get is why so many posters seem to care about having a large percentage of "white."

For me, it's curiosity.
I've always been told I am part Hawaiian, DNA test says I am not. LOL No Hawaiian blood in me.

I don't really understand the obsession with ethnicity either. It's about history for me, not the color of my skin. I love genealogy and the ancillary study of history so much that I have taken on research for other people whose backgrounds are vastly different than mine. A very good friend handed over some papers her aunt had passed on to her and asked if I could help her figure them out. A few weeks of poring over them revealed her connection to the Taos Rebellion and the siege at Turley's Mill, an incredible story that I had never encountered before. It was completely fascinating. I am obsessed with American history, and I can't get enough of it.
