Complete 180 about-face by the Freedom Caucus in a bit over 2 months.
First Meadows said there MUST be funding for the wall, now he says, NOPE, not necessary.
Curious as to WHY the about face.
It's a very good question. Was he promised something?
Quote:
Sure sounds like Trumps wall is toast.
His base sure isn't gonna like that.
Oh well, yet ANOTHER failed campaign promise - right up there alongside the Obamacare repeal - and likely soon to be followed by yet more failed campaign promises as tax reform falls on it's face, and infrastructure falls by the wayside.
Ken
I'm good with the wall failing but I still despise the back stabbing hypocrisy like we see here.
I got news for you - despite what you may believe, your orange-hair God is PRESIDENT, NOT KING - and he's not going to get the wall without the cooperation of Congress.
Got it?
When even the Freedom Caucus (who generally have wanted the wall) say they won't shut down the government to get the wall - you're not gonna get the wall.
Nice dodge by the GOP Congress. Now, the only way the government shuts down is if trump vetoes a budget bill passed by both houses of Congress. Sweet!
And they get the opportunity, again to override his veto. Love it, this Big Win by the GOP has turned into a Big Mess for them and trump. The clock is ticking I would suggest they find some answers or the tides will turn once again.
You really have ZERO clue how the government works. Clue; Congress can override about anything trump does, he cannot do the same. Congress can remove trump from office, trump cannot remove them. Catching on yet?

Exactly what will happen, if Trump vetoes a government-funding bill, because his wall isn't included, congress will rally enough democrats and override the veto.
