What would make you happy? Boehner or Schumer-like fake tears? He is what he is which doesn't mean he doesn't feel for the people. Is fed help getting to those who need it? Yes. As many haters as there are it is a distraction to have him among the people when crews are still working to find/help those in need.

How odd. I'm actually going to defend Trump here. I'm glad he came to Texas. I don't understand why he didn't come to Houston, but at least he came. As for his ridiculous comments regarding crowd size, I'm disappointed, but not surprised. He has no empathy, really. But he got the wheels rolling with federal disaster relief, and that's what I care about.
So Trump rolls into Texas with stiletto Flotus in tow, to observe the epic rains, flooding , and horrific damage being done to coastal Texas, not to mention the loss of life. But rather than show one ounce of compassion or empathy for the PEOPLE being affected by this disaster, he proceeds to give a shout out and pat on the back(while in a high and dry conference room) to the Governor, Head of FEMA, and two cabinet members travelling with him Carson and McMahon. He also bragged about how this would be the greatest recovery ever - typical Donny of course.
When he did briefly venture outside for the obligatory photo op, he reflected and commented on the crowd size while he was unfurling a Texas flag and essentially mugging for his supporters, which was less than 200 people according to the press in attendance. All this while wearing his USA hat which is a Trump branded product being sold online for $40.00!
So once again he has shown himself to be nothing more than a narcissistic salesman who only cares about himself and who could not muster any words of encouragement for the people of Texas whose lives have been forever changed by this disaster of epic proportions.
Shameful performance not befitting someone occupying the WH or for that matter any position of moral leadership!
The Governor of Texas said that Trump was 100% on top of things for this Hurricane.
