Now two weeks later. Antifa and the alt left are clearly in the publics consciousness, when they were totally unknown before. Irrefutable video evidence shows Antifa acting like the thugs they are and now people on the left like the Berkeley mayor and Nancy Pelosi are going "yeah, I suppose Antifa is clearly a criminal gang"
I too, find it funny, that Nancy Pelosi basically said what Trump said 2 weeks ago and no one is giving her any shame.
The biggest issue though, was Trump saying "there are good people on both sides". That's why the media went into meltdown mode.
Technically there was probably good people on both sides because I don't think every person there necessarily was a white nationalist. Some just wanted to protest against the removal of statues. But I agree that's one of the things he shouldn't have said even though it technically is true.
Since I've been criticizing Antifa -- its ideas and methods -- for about ten months, it's an interesting dynamic that the media has acknowledged its existence here in late August. Very on top of things, aren't they?

You're a bit confused about your terminology. There is nothing objectionable about the policies advocated by white nationalists, which basically reflect a desire to live separately from the people who they believe hate and/or exploit them.
Antifa is a domestic terrorist group, as of last year... Trump was calling it as a neutral citizen.. And he was correct.
