If that is the case why hasn't the UN spoken out about what is happening in Venezuela ?

Good for them! I don't think Trump fans have any clue at how dangerous it is for him to poison people against the free press the way he's doing.
You do no the us feel to somewhere in the upper 30s (from the teens) under Obama in terms of press freedom by country due to his vicious lock up of whistle blowers (all according to the UN).
Trump has been mocking the media ALL HIS LIFE. He never learned how to use his CELEBRITY and learn the GIFT ÔF SPIN that does not show anger and becomes a LASHING OUT passive then suddenly AGRESSIVE response.
Trump political backers think this is all over his politics and recent? Absolutely not. He walked out of interviews waaaay back if any QUESTIONABLE behavior question was asked. He did son at the opening of Trump Taj Mahal Atlantic city when he was not .... praised and crowned King of moguls and savior of the city.... we know how history went in building it to his bankruptcy since.
It went from the Jewel in his Crown .... to a blemish he wants erased from history and the media.

In an unprecedented move, on Wednesday the United Nations human rights chief denounced President Trump's repeated attacks on the media as "fake news", which could amount to incitement of violence against media.
The UN is one of the most left-wing organizations that the modern world has ever known.
Name one "fake news" item, with a link. I'm just curious to see what you view as "fake news."

I did name one and provided a link. You can't call it "fake news" until it has been proven fake.
In the case of the CNN article, it was proven fake and 3 people resigned over it.
sorry if I don't take seriously a guy named Prince Zeid Ra’ad al-Hussein from Jordan criticizing Trump about free speech......this is the Prince that publicly bashed Trump during the election and basically endorsed Hillary Clinton.
he also butted in in the BREXIT vote in the U.K. with his public opinions against the exit.
That's not the job of the U.N. Human Rights Chief Counsel to get political in the internal affairs of a country.
