Huckabee Sanders either doesn't know what "firsthand" means. Or she is simply happy to lie to try to cover for her boss. Pathetic. Really pathetic that little Donnie needs to pretend he was right there in the action. What a joke this president is.

President Trump clearly and unmistakably exaggerated the “horror and devastation” he witnessed in Texas. The White House's response? To pretend words don't mean what they mean.

Trump tweeted Wednesday morning that he had seen this horror and devastation “first hand.”

You didn't really expect the King to mingle with the hoi polloi, did you? He has people for those distasteful chores.

Every president before him has met with and comforted actual victims. But then, every president before him was capable of real empathy. In this case, the people of Texas were probably better off that he was too good to lower himself. He is incapable of empathy.

Except that as far as anyone knows, he didn't even do a flyover of the worst-hit areas.

He's a lying liar.
Always has been, always will be.

I was actually giving the guy credit for coming to visit us. Now Trump has to mess even this up with a lie, and this is the first disaster of his presidency that he himself didn't cause. I truly think he is incapable of telling the truth

lmao....Funny watching you nuts stomp your feet over such silliness. Keep it up, the entertainment is worth it. I just love repeating this stuff to people and watch them laugh hysterically.

Nothing is going to satisfy the never-Trumpers. He comes; he doesn't come; he flies over; he hugs victims - nothing.

He is directing resources. Leading. Making things happen, and getting out of the way.
That's what he is supposed to do.

Were the malcontents satisfied when Bush visited the ground and offered comfort to Katrina victims?.... Well, no they weren't. You can't satisfy those people. They'll complain about your shoes, if nothing else. If you fly over at 5,000 feet they will claim you flew at 35,000.
So Trump ignores them.
Good.

Scooby, wishing you, your family and everybody in Houston the best. All of you are in my thoughts.

I don't care for Trump at all, but isn't he going back on Saturday to hard hit areas?

Good.
Don't worry, no one expected anything more from Trump than what he did. The bar is so low for this man that showing up for a photo op, avoiding any real contact with real American victims of this tragedy, and then having his spokesperson lie about it, is par for the course for this Administration.

We would frankly be shocked if he displayed any real signs of humanity at this point.
