DACA was not even an Executive Order ...... it was a Memorandum sent by Director of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano after a "policy" was announced by President Obama. DACA was formally initiated by a policy memorandum sent from Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano to the heads of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The memo formally directed them to exercise their enforcement discretion on behalf of individuals who met the requirements.

This memorandum confers no substantive right, immigration status or pathway to citizenship. Only the Congress, acting through its legislative authority, can confer these rights.

States are now going to bring a lawsuit against a sitting President because he will end a program that was NEVER a LAW and was actually for following the Immigration Laws that Congress passed? They are going to sue because of a Memorandum by a Homeland Security chief from years ago?

Doubtful this will succeed. The Memo even says "it's not Law" and doesn't confer ANY "substantive right or immigration status".

Wonder if he'll explain why in 2011 he said he could not change immigration law on his own then a few years later he tries to do so.

DACA is about to be overturned due to the lawsuit.

President Oballerina hates everything America stands for and only cared about his globalist, one world order going forward. Its time to sweep out ILLEGALS who have infested this country like roaches.

Power is not always defined by position. Obama, and I was not a fan, looks pretty good next to Trump--for a lot of people. His words do carry weight.

Like it or not.

Another thing to consider, Obama is young compared to Trump. Long after Trump shuffles off to that great golf course in the sky...Obama will be influencing policy.

Again, like it or not.

Never spoke up for you..you mean. There are literally hundreds of millions of Americans who felt he spoke for them. They elected him to two terms in office, after all.

Good. Republicans and Democrats turned a blind eye to illegal immigration when the labor was deemed necessary and the numbers were lower. Then later they want to complain. It's not the fault of the children, the majority of who are quite culturally American.

He should speak out. Too many hypocritical politicians out here...

They didn't mention any legal justification in that statement. Being butthurt isn't a compelling argument in most courts outside the ninth ward.

For many, it's a cult thing. It's like if Satan scheduled a press conference--to a fundy Christian.
