It's been a wonderful thing. It's – as tough as this was, it's been a wonderful thing. I think even for the country to watch and for the world to watch. It's been beautiful.
Gee, spinning quotes at dizzying speeds has become an art form for the left...
The man could say God Bless you to someone who just sneezed, and the whole left would be up in arms that he's forcing religion down their throats. It would be all we heard about for weeks. They'd even rent billboards to ridicule him. It would show Trump wearing a priest's outfit while whipping his wife for her implied sins.
Trump visiting Houston today called Harvey a wonderful thing, said he saw "a lot of happiness" in the shelters, and wished everyone "a good time" on leaving. There aren't words for this moron. I am sure the woman who lost her family, the thousands upon thousands who lost their homes and livlihoods, the families of the bodies they are pulling out of the homes today, those living with the threat of disease and consumed with hopelessness and uncertainty all agree how wonderful things are and have a lot of happiness.
Trump apparently thinks that watching hurricanes from a distance, is a great spectator-sport. But the disgust and alarm that so many have towards him right now, about his attitude concerning this disaster, is nothing compared to what they will feel, when they realize that he will actually deliver pitifully few resources to the recovery. Marie Antoinette, saying, "Let them eat cake", comes to mind.

Wrong. The difference is "liberals" are smart enough to realize that saying a few nice words and promising to (someday) give away a fraction of your ill-gotten gains doesn't make you a good person. Trump is a horrible person who - like every horrible person in history - now and then does nice things. That doesn't make him a good person or forgive him of his years of bad behavior. Top that off with his obvious stupidity in this case, and it should be obvious why progressive aren't in love with him.
The number of threads around here praising Trump for every little thing he does is laughable. What's next? "Trump goes an entire day without saying something bigoted or stupid - he's the best president ever!" Come on...
I agree but telling them to have a good time. Really?
I am not a big Trump fan and I think he often says off the wall stuff - including that comment. But it's not a hanging offense in my book. Overall, the people in the shelter seemed to respond very positively to him and that's what really matters most, I think.
