Man's a friggin genius. Good lawd.

Who tells reporters covering a disaster where rescuers are still pulling people out of flooded houses in fecal matter contaminated water to "have a good time"?

It's beyond me why seemingly intelligent people stick up for this shyster.

And folks have their dreams pinned to this inarticulate grifter.

Trump: The people of Texas have persevered - CNN Video

Just in case you missed it - his unannounced visit to the shelter and the warmth of interaction with the people there.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmPJ2rpqX1Y

Hope you can sit through 5 or so minutes (rather than just sound bytes) as Trump addresses evacuees and volunteers in Houston (not his press conference with the reporters) - this includes his compliments to various specific people as well as the volunteers in general.

"And then it's long term, 2 years, 3 years, but this is Texas so it will probably get done in 6 months."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYWVO2wfIr0

Trump and Melania loading supplies in a truck and talking with volunteers in Houston - lots of personal interaction and conversation with the various volunteers:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NmfkUNfGcQ

Trump thanking National Guard and volunteers who have been helping in Houston before he leaves - lots of personal interaction, lots of praise for them for "saving a lot of lives":

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXSluKzhxyM

Here's the full "show" at the shelter - sorry it's not in sound byte form - it's 14 minutes long:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQU6NzwweYY

Oh my goodness - Trump interacting with kids at the shelter - sorry, it's five minutes long, not a sound byte:

This is what you are proud of?

Listen to what he's saying.

Oh wait. Trump just made another remark about Hurricane Harvey in Texas, while helping load relief supplies.

Trump remarked to a volunteer coordinator, "I like doing this," and noted to his wife, "This is good exercise."

OH MY GAWD!

How stupid of Trump to suggest that Hurricane Harvey was a good thing because it provided him with the ability to get some exercise in! The nerve of the idiot to suggest the Hurricane was really a good thing because it helps keep the POTUS in a little better shape.

( Just pre- empting the next whine from liberals about everything Trump says in Texas and LA. )

Wonder if he'll go for another "do over."
Trump did what he was told to do. He is so thick that he thought it was ok to promote his own hats on his first visit. He is incapable of empathy, and that is not something one can learn.

After watching DACA kids help put Houston back together, he is now set to announce they will have to get out in 6 months.

Let's see if his 'compassionate' visit to Houston has changed Trump's perspective on anything, or if it was just a job duty.

I'm not proud of him. I'm not a Trump lover. So you can quit moving the goal posts. All I've done is provided context. Trump did not ever say that Harvey was a wonderful thing. He was not dismissive of evacuees or rescue workers.

And I don't believe that for a second. I remember GW's "fan" club. Just like Obama's.

Yes you would think so. But his die hard supporters like plain talk from the heart and no big words or teleprompter.

How America has dumbed down in front of the world. How can a mighty country fall so far from Grace in world standing so fast. Its sad.
