Banning them makes sense, what doesn't make sense is the hyperventilating that this causes amongst conservatives. I suppose if conservatives really wanted to use these things (most spewing spittle over the idea of a ban probably don't) they could order them on Amazon.
I don't mind driving over the odd plastic fork in the street, but a metal one is a totally different story.
