I don't understand. This doesn't happen in other developed countries such as Japan. Yet the USA has the most heavy-handed incarceration system in the developed world. What's wrong with this country?
This is pretty funny. I am sure lots of these looters are very poor, but look at some of the get away vehicles. Definitely not dirt poor based on what vehicles I see. So there is an element of the poor being desperate, but I think lots of these looters are just immature young men wanting to be a cool bad guy.
I know it is easy for me to say this being behind a keyboard, but don't the managers and owners of the mall take basic precautionary measures? Board up windows, extra lock on doors, etc? Maybe not worth it for a shoe stores.
As a white person I know those black criminals in the video do not represent the majority of black people in this country. But you know what? The people in the KKK or marching in Charlottesville do not represent that majority of white people in this country.
If we could come to that agreement maybe things can get better. But it goes both ways. Don't go around assuming every Trump supporter is a racist etc. if you don't want people to think they represent your community.
It's despicable. The worst behavior comes out of people during the most inopportune times. Funerals, tragedies (man made or provide by God); it's really something I find fascinating about the human condition.
I don't know which makes me angrier.....fools stealing from stores or stores stealing from patrons (price gouging). To profit off disaster is really one of the lowest things a human can do.
Looting is a "crime of opportunity." Has nothing to do with poor vs. not poor.
