I don't. I say we give them the pay they deserve. A well deserved living wage for honest work.
By 'living wage' I'm assuming you mean a wage a person can afford to live on?
Not every job is geared toward that and if you're going to start paying a livable income to people washing hair in a salon other salaries will have to go up in turn.
interesting that the poverty rate has stayed the same even though the number of unwed women giving birth has risen dramatically according to the video.
to go from 34 percent poverty to 17 percent shows that welfare and other programs have worked.
You should watch the video again. The reduction from 34% to 17% happened BEFORE welfare programs were implemented.
When did the dems end the war on drugs?
Yeah thats what I thought
I never said they did. My point was that more ramping up occurred on the GOPs watch than the Dems. And it was Reagan who went to town with asset forfeiture abuse. If you are a conservative, that should make your blood boil.
^^^^^I was reminded of this when an on scene reporter was interviewing a fleeing woman with her several month old baby from Hurricane Irma. She said she was devastated because her, and her "BOYFRIEND" were supposed to get married at the end of the month. Well why weren't they married BEFORE they had children, or at lease while she was pregnant? So many couples are doing this backwards today, or not at all. She was White, by the way.
Wouldn't it be nice if that little piece of paper guaranteed that people would live up to the responsibilities of having and raising their children. Unfortunately.... it doesn't.
