Talk to a progressive about how most large dem-progressive cities are in such poor shape financially, economically and infrastructurally usually running big deficits and full of crime they will be quick to blame the loss of unions and republicans. When you point out that they have been run by democrats for over 50 years and had many chances to get things in order they will blame republicans and the loss of unions.

Why do democrats always blame republicans and the loss of unions? Is there really any truth to their trite excuses? Are there any specific facts to back up their excuses and why do you think they have so many problems? Why haven't the democrat admins and leaders fixed their cities if they always claim to have solutions i.e. Detroit and Chicago?

It is because their ideas do not work yet they keep on pushing them and telling us how wonderful it will all be if their ideas can be implemented.

Gun control is the biggest joke of them all. Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws in the country yet they have the most shootings. My conservative brain tells me they should go after the criminals that use their illegal guns in their crimes but the progressives say no that would be profiling so instead they move to ban all guns. The thing is criminals by definition don't give a toss about laws so the only ones locking their guns up are the law abiding.

The same goes for the very progressive ideas of Sanctuary cities. Who would ever think that giving people that are breaking federal immigration laws a safe place to hide out where they would not be asked about their crime would actually be a thing. I think it is a real slap in the face to all the immigrants who came to America by following the laws.
Sanctuary cities certainly set a dangerous precedent where criminals are allowed to relax and the law abiding citizens are put at risk by people who are actually above the law.
What could go wrong?

Progressive ideas are great until the other peoples money runs out.

I blame the problem of large "Dem-progressive" cities on too many people wanting to live there and NIMBY regulations that don't allow adequate housing/infrastructure to support them. Otherwise, it's not so bad... and can actually be very professionally/financially rewarding to live in one of those cities. I have never heard anyone blaming Republicans for any issues in those cities so don't know who you're talking to that "always" complains about that.

At the end of the day, if it was that bad, no one would want to live there.

Your answer is besides the point. Did that real revenue come mostly from capitalism, global capitalism via wall st or welfare statist-socialism. What is more important big numbers or principles of how the numbers became the numbers that they are?

It seems progressives think very myopically in general. This has become a big problem for the working class.

I do not consider wall st globalism capitalism that exploits communist countries to be true capitalism. True capitalism does not exploit others like wall st is doing obviously.

Socialists like to lump things together and put them in boxes because they lack the capacity for objective thought.

Both parties have cities in terrible shape or great shape and everything in-between. It's almost like political affiliation is not the primary driver in success of an area.

Try and not let that blow your mind too much. I'd hate to get in the way of your confirmation bias.

This is absurd, I live in a county with some of the largest amount of fortune 500 companies as any in the country and many of the people actually producing the gdp are far more red than the inner city of dallas. Dallas county may vote blue because of the inner city and the county goes blue but its not based on the suburbs and the actual corporations. Same with harris county and the oil and gas industry.

Not to go off topic on this thread too much because it is important but your off-topic statement that actually means not very much is doubtful like most progressives. Provide a factual link.

Here is a link to a list of states with the corresponding GDP. i would possibly believe GNP, which is much different than GDP.
