I expect the fact that Ms Barrett clerked for Justice Antonin Scalia is as big a, if not a bigger concern, as the, Oh, horrors., she is not afraid of displaying her faith, tap dances being done by Dem Senators.
Actually, there a number of form Scalia and Thomas proteges making their way through the judicial appointment process. That ought to be giving the Democrat politicians if not faithful heartburn.
Senator Feinstein, D-Calif., expressed grave concerns that Barrett is a Catholic in good standing & nominee to federal court*
IMO Sen. Feinstein and others have crossed the line drawn by the constitution.
Article VI of the US Constitution states:
The Senators and …all executive and judicial Officers… shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States.
When the members of the Senate Judiciary Committee assess the qualifications of someone nominated to be a federal judge, they should focus on the candidate’s commitment to the Constitution, not to any religious dogma.

FAKE NEWS
TOTAL Fabrication
COMPLETELY FAKE FAKE FAKE.
she never said it, you made it up and have no proof that she ever said such a thing. I only wish CD would raise the standards to stop posters like you twisting truth and making up stores to mislead poeple.
she clearly questioned his putting his faith above the law as he has publicly stated.
But you need some fake news to distract from Trump failing admin and his inability to bring his party together.

You incorrectly assume that Democrats have ever read, understood or cared about the Constitution. To them it's not a founding document... it's an obstacle.

Well someone is certainly spreading lies... Barrett is a female.

No, I expect it's that she has demonstrated that she considers it okay to rule from the bench according to faith rather than the law.
She can believe in the flying spaghetti monster and do noodle dances for all I care. But when she chastises another judge for not putting his faith ahead of the Constitution when making a ruling, that's where those who believe in the Constitution draw the line.
It's not some big leftwing conspiracy to want a judge to rule according the the Constitution and not according to what their religion dictates.
I brought fact and opinion of about the fact. You brought the party line.
