We once thought people came to America because it was a good country, a place where dreams of wealth and happiness could be realized. But, explains an NYU professor in
Foreign Policy, they really come to America, and other Western countries because these places are bad. Westerners have forced people to move by ruining the world through slavery, colonialism, war, exploitation, racism and global warming, and have no right to turn anyone away. People will come, even though they don't like the West, and they must be welcomed. It's the only way for Westerners to atone for their sins.
