Maybe a few held their noses rather than vote for Clinton, but I assume that the OP is asking for a candidate that would draw enough appeal from both sides to at least win the popular vote.

Will Rogers is the last one who could have done that. And he would never run for office. If our nation ever needed someone like him, it is now.
