People who get replaced by automation will adapt just like they always have.

That's bs. And I notice that you didn't wanna address my point about how you Conservatives kiss ass on the corporatocracy.

Sorry I don't smoke, but yes I'd pay that much if I did, or right now, before I'd pay to eat ****.

Higher minimum wages is pricing those wage earners out of the job market.
correct

Well if I was a conservative I would have responded.

I would ask you why are liberals always so hostile to business? You realize that without business there are no jobs without jobs and business there is no government.

There are two potential causes to empty real estate held by investors for the medium or long term:

1. Bubbles
2. Multiple bad regulations interacting (can't build anything + rent control)

The first solves itself (albeit with nasty side effects if the buyer is levered). The second can easily happen semi-permanently in places like SF and NYC with little construction and rent controlled housing supply (although it's still a tiny fraction of the market even there), but it's a regulatory problem not a refutation of the laws of supply and demand.

You are a conservative.

Why are you so mad about burger flippers getting a raise but you've got nothing to say about corporations giving executives millions of dollars while the company is failing?

How? It's getting to a point where if even more jobs are replaced, that just means less people are needed for jobs. As technology evolves, more and more tasks will be done by fewer people.

When the corporations replace the people with automated robotic systems who will have the money to buy the products they are selling?
