The instinct of the Chinese, for centuries, has always been to withdraw and slam the door in your face when they are pissed at you. Thus China withdrew all of her forces back to China and was done with North Korea. That’s why there are 30,000 - 50,000 US troops in South Korea, and not a single Chinese soldier in North Korea, in the last 60 years. So much for “Chinese support of North Korea”.

China's support of North Korea is a very strategic move that also involves historical influences.

I'd argue Strategic is the most important reason why China supports NK

Shield to Japan; Shield to the US, Refugees from NK.

So China is in a tough spot too. China believes its best interest is served by keeping North and South Korea unstable enough that they cannot cooperate fully, but stable enough so that a war doesn't happen.

personally, I am glad NK is not behaving. It will give the Chinese some headache.

We have a new weapon that I read about. It's a laser weapon, initially intended to fell missles, drones and such, but has amazing accuracy and loses no power over great distances. The next time that maggot Kim Jong Un decides to stand on a balcony for another dick waving parade, pulverize him. Blame it on the Russians. Leave no
Proof. Isn't that WHY we have a CIA?

In what fantasy world was that?
Where EXACTLY were the Japanese being ejected in 1941?

Regarding who did the bulk of the fighting against the Axis in WWII - In Europe it was Russia, In China it was the Chinese, In the Pacific itself it was the US.

Ken
The war front in China was stalemated, and this was because the Chinese were fighting the Japanese, and a civil war at the same time. Literally. One day try were fighting the Japanese, the other day the KMT and Communists were fighting each other.

In 1972, when PRC and Japan established former diplomatic relationship, Mao Zedong met the then Japanese Prime Minister Tanaka Kakuei, and said: Don't have to say sorry, you had contributed towards China, why? Because had Imperial Japan did not start the war of invasion, how could we communist became mighty powerful? How could we stage the coup d'état ? How could we defeat Chiang Kai Sak? How are we going to pay back you guys? No, we do not want your war reparations! (Translated from Tanaka Kakuei Biography, original in Japanese.)

The gap between #1 and #4 is so huge, that it went down just the way it should have. But, that wasn't the point, you said China military was third world status, and I'm just saying that is so far from the truth. And Saddam military was never a military power with a #4 world rankings.

You are probably right, but life lessons have taught me to, never say never. And somebody said, whatever can happen, will eventually happen.

Frankly I don't think he'll much of anything - except tweet, tweet, tweet. And all that does is make the situation WORSE. When Trump promises "fire and fury" then does NOTHING when the North Koreans call his bluff, all it does is make the U.S. look weak.
Trump is a weak, incompetent and ineffective leader.

Ken
We have 5 Aircraft Carrier task groups in the area. That hasn't happened since WWII. That is a show of strength and a very visible guarantee of our commitment to our allies in the area.

Personally, I like reading stories about those special snipers that decapitate terrorists from like 2 miles away with plain old bullets. Especially when it happens to good effect right in front of a bunch of the bad guys peers.

We could send in stealth bombers to take them all out at once when they are having one of these photo ops...and no one would know who did it or where it came from.

That is correct - it was a stalemate, but that's NOT what was CLAIMED.
The CLAIM was that the Chinese were already EJECTING Japan from China by the time we got involved in the war. That claim is absolute, complete bullsh*t.
Japans' inability to completely conquer China was essentially the same as Germany's inability to completely conquer the U.S.S.R. - the area and population involved was too large.
