Donald Trump is a proponent of Donald Trump first. I doubt if ever conceived anything not to his own best interests, possibly being to our nation's best interests. What's to his own benefit is his primary concern and everything else is of his lesser consideration.
When negotiating with President Donald Trump or his advisers, it's best to emphasize any benefits to him or to the legacy of his administration.
President Trump is not particularly immoral or evil or stupid. He's more amoral, and self centered rather than politically driven.

Donald Trump in no way could ever be confused with a polished up slick career politician, heck he is not even a lawyer that is trained to guard every word that comes out of their mouths to avoid litigation and that is part of the reason he was elected.

He is brash and crude at times but he tells it like it is and doesn't pull any punches including the ones that swing back to hit him.
Obama was an amazing orator who cold deliver a speech like a preacher on fire and we got a bit spoiled by that and his poise but you know something this country needed a man like Trump and we got him for better or worse.

He was voted in, because certain people were sick and tired of the ESTABLISHED POLITICANS from both sides. He does not talk or sound like them, and this is what a lot of people wanted and they got.

Tells it like it is, Finally, a R who has guts! So many of them are just plain Wuss and make me sick.

He's not a slick politician -- but he's the ultimate politician. The ultimate politician isn't in the game to improve lives for the greater good -- he's in it to stroke his ego.

That's Trump to a T -- and always has been.

Many of our politicians start out with humble beginnings and truly good motives...they get sidetracked by the system.

Trump didn't get sidetracked -- he owns the system.+

He does not tell it like it is. He spews lies and nonsense that his base wants to believe, just like any other politician, only more outrageous and even less principled.

I'm curious why you think our country "needed a man like Trump."

I think the decent MSM press he got from going to the dems about the debt ceiling made him happy bc when it comes down to it, he wants to be loved by the cool kids. He doesn't want to hang out with Ted Nugent, he wants to be with Tom Hanks. That's why he backtracked on daca and the Paris accord.
Yes, poor, welfare takers are more likely to be dems but so are the A list. That's who he wants to be with, he's not trying to hang out with farmer Joe in Nebraska.
He used his supporters like you use the ugly person in high school to do your homework but you take the pretty girl to the prom. He played a part and he thought he could keep playing but he can't. The dems are his people.
