Our side never tried to assassinate Democrats. You must be so proud.

I must admit that I have been quite pleased by his response to Harvey and Irma. That he's visiting the 95% Hispanic Puerto Rico and the 76% Black US Virgin Islands is even more astonishing. I was convinced he would leave them to wither on the vine.

Yes it would be nice if Trump was a bit more rounded. But as far as the job he was hired for - it means nothing.
And, if he was really good at the job he was hired for, I doubt people would do more than laugh off his oddities and lack of meteorological acumen.

It's not astonishing. Unlike you, Trump doesn't see race when he looks at people.

Someone who knows how to do his/her job and isn't so polarizing would be a good start.

Well, for one thing, I would like my President to at least have the same intellectual curiosity as myself, a lowly plebe.

So we are now blaming the actions of one person on half of the country? Does this apply to the right too?

I have always found him repugnant. I promise you, my dislike has zero to do with him deciding to run for office. I never saw any of his shows, though I know he had one because... pop culture...

Every interview I ever saw him in, starting back in the 1980s when I was in middle/high school, just hearing him talk made my skin crawl. He said such creepy stuff. Ugh.

He's boorish, unsophisticated, and generally embodies everything I think of when I think of the term "ugly American."

Nobody who is cultured and wealthy in NYC accepts him, and he claims it as his home. That should speak more about him than them, because most of those social circles can be cracked with money and even a small amount of education and tact.

We don't hire them as weather forecasters.
