I would love to have a Black, Female REPUBLICAN (true conservative) President! However, you know the Left would do the same thing to her as Condie Rice, or any other Black conservative. Herman Cain, Allen West, Dr. Ben Carson, Mia Love, Michael Steele, etc
The producers and writers for the Emmy awards show had a good opportunity to do good. They could have used the show as a platform for relief fund raising for Texas and Florida victims of the hurricanes. They could have given the audience a break from politics. When jokes are written and told from a position of hatred, they aren't funny. Saw the highlights of the anti-trump jokes and they weren't funny. They were angry and came from absolute hatred. The fact that the audience was laughing at these "jokes" just goes to show how deranged Hollywood has become. TV viewer numbers are down, movie box office numbers are down, and now they spend the night fully insulting Trump and the half of USA that voted for him. Great job alienating half of the country.
Celebrities just had a big telethon to raise money and conservatives complained about that too.

The 'half' of the country were already alienated because they are sensitive and defensive about their political choices. That's on them not the celebrities -- lol.
Awards shows are declining in popularity not because of any political ideology but because the young 'uns don't watch TV like us AT ALL. I have a 29, 27 and a 20 year old -- none of them watch TV. They stream documentaries, shows, series online.
Back in the glory days of award shows we had three channels to choose from and the awards shows were the one night we got to see the celebrities not in a movie or concert or tv show context. Now we see them all the time and have access to their instagram, twitter, blogs, etc.
For those that didn't watch -- their is quite the disgust at Spicer so willing to admit how he lied from day one in his job....and then to make fun of it. Serious news people don't think it was funny at all. Even ones you folks would all SCREAM were liberal. It is mocking the seriousness of the press briefings and the need for accurate information. I thought that was an interesting social commentary to come out of the show.
Watch if you want -- don't if you don't want to -- they don't care.....LOL. They aren't sitting at home feeling sorry for themselves because half of the country doesn't care....lol. They really don't care..

When a conservative celebrity shares their views he's all American...when a liberal celebrity share their views, they are insecure, insensitive, ridiculous.
I remember a book that was written about these entertainers who think we all salivate, waiting for these musicians or actors to give us their political opinions, it was titled "Shut Up and Sing"
I might suggest a few follow up books, or even just a new addition with a few suggestions for additional chapters
"Shut up and act"
"Shut up and and play sports"
"Shut up and report the weather"
Pretty much, if you have not become famous because people pay you for your political opinions and comments, then just shut up. We don't give a crap to hear your ignorant, biased political views or opinions.
