It wasn't his ideas that did anything. He was very much a futurist and saw what was happening and gamed it out....and the end game(s) were something he guessed at.
What happened in Russia or China were due to complex situations that had little to do with Marxism...

I would call it more the "commonwealth" attitude - as I do live in a commonwealth now and was born in a commonwealth.
Common Wealth. Our wealth is the nation's wealth. We are, at least within our political divisions, our brothers keepers.
This differs with the Right who seem to think that because Wall Street screwed some illiterate landowners out of it a century ago, they deserve it all forever (fossil fuels or whatever else).
It had everything to do with the philosophy of collectivism, which sacrifices individual rights in the name of the collective/the nation. It's pure evil, by it's very nature.

It's completely impossible to argue with a legitimate Marxist. Marxism is a secular religion. There is always an easy out in terms of "Marxism was never actually followed" or as Nepenthe pointed out "it wasn't implemented correctly. They are incapable of realizing that Marxism can never be implemented properly because it doesn't work and because of human nature. Marxists have as much irrational faith in their religion as any fundamentalist. It doesn't matter how many millions starve to death or wind up as literal slaves every time it is tried.
The Marxist posters here made my point though. Conservatives will generally admit there are right-wing extremists. There are conservatives in this thread saying they like seeing Nazis get punched. But in the very same thread, we saw how the Left very rarely will even ADMIT it has extremists.
This kind of behavior isn't going to solve the bigger issue. In fact, it will only make it worse. Also, for those that think this was justified, would you still think so were this a female nazi? Is it okay to hit a woman if she's a nazi?

Now if he gets in your face or disrespects someone that can't defend his or herself, take action. Try calling the cops first, but if it can't wait, give him what he deserves.
