Still Trump was not lying. Or crazy. Or wearing a tin hat. Or delusional. His conversations were being wiretapped. Truth.
In the most narrow possible interpretation..ignoring nuance, focus and context..yes.
His conversations..if he had any with Manafort..on Manafort's phone..in the time span the warrants were active--may have been recorded..they may not have been..if Trump never talked to Manafort in the time span indicated..on Manafort's phone...they may not have been.
In the way Trump put it..and meant it...Trump was 100% incorrect. Obama was not wiretapping trump's campaign..to gain some political advantage. Other than Manafort..no other telephones were tapped--except foreign nationals, of course.
Good point brought up --- Manafort was under investigation for a few years. Did he fail to tell the Trump administration? (The person stating this implied Manafort knew). The person was saying how unfair it was to Trump if Manafort signed on to the campaign knowing all of this. I agree.
Here's the major problem I see. It looks like Obama admin was wiretapping this guy for years, Stopped due to lack of evidence then started it up again when he joined the Trump campaign using a bogus document. Everyone in the intelligence community is a Dem, 96% of DC voted for Clinton. Was this intelligence used for political purposes ie. being supplied to the clinton campaign? I mean everything gets leaked, these people clearly don't have much integrity. These people in the IC have their funding/livelihoods on the line they're going to want the candidate who promises the biggest most well funded government. The game is entirely rigged against conservatives in this way.

He also basically ruled by Executive fiat for the last 6 years of his administration once the Rs took back control of congress. He basically legalized 800k illegal aliens by executive fiat when congress couldnt get a bill passed which is why were in this mess now. This is a wild overreach of power, the executive doesn't make laws. Guy was a major threat to the constitution.

I remember very early on - Joe Scarborough wondering how Trump ended up with Paul Manafort as his campaign manager . . like 'where did he come up with THIS guy'?
Seems like a little vetting was in order. Like also with Mike Flynn - heck they were flat out TOLD about Flynn and they still made him national security advisor.
It wouldn't matter if he had told them. The Trumps think they can get by with anything.
The first warrant was about Ukraine dealings.
The second warrant was about Russia and the US election and Trump.
So CNN is partially right. Makes you wonder what other secret FISA warrants are lurking about.

Sources tell CNN the second warrant was part of the ongoing investigation into Russian election meddling and any ties between Trump’s campaign and Moscow. Investigators began monitoring Manafort again after he left the Trump campaign in August of last year.
Have to insert that reportedly the FISA court gave the warrant(s) based on the now discredited dossier from that former British spy.
If true, could end up being kicked out of court...
