Because they were not equipped with a taser. You can't use something you don't have.
I don't believe the police had mace either. Hopefully going forward, they will have some none lethal options when confronted with a person suffering from depression.
Looks like suicide by cop. The kid couldn't deal with his mental health issues.

Close friend of mine who is British just started schooling there a few weeks ago hopefully he isn't caught up in any unnecessary drama. He should have taken his chances in the U.K IMO.
