There are gays that are in the closet regarding their conservatism. I happily voted for Donald Trump. Hillary Clinton wanted to bring in tons of refugees, and we've seen what they have been doing in Europe. Donald Trump had a better idea. Not that it's worked out too well so far, but it's better than wide open borders.

There's a host of reasons why I am conservative on almost every issue. I see the left as destructive, and I cannot bring myself to be a one issue voter, disregarding everything else.

I've been around mostly conservative people for most of my life. Seldom have I been offended, and very rarely ever felt threatened. As an adult, I learned self defense, so I no longer lack the confidence to defend myself, verbally or physically.

Seeing what goes on with refugees in Europe is just one of the reasons I am on the right in the US.
Except people on the right in the US hate gays, transgenders, etc. And often for the same stupid reason - using "religion" as an excuse to hate people who are different.

You can't have it both ways.

Maybe they realized the largest group that voted against gay marriage was the black vote.

Why do blacks hate gays?

Yup, and radical "religious" conservative loons in this nation who basically have no problem with the same idea. Oh, they pretend to "support gays" on this thread just because they hate Muslims more than they hate gays, but don't kid yourself - right-wingers in this nation hate them both.

There is no difference in the mindset and intent of a right-wing "Christian" and a right-wing "Muslim" when it comes to using religion to justify bigotry, and if given the opportunity, both groups would take the violence as far as they could.

Nope. Hitler was a tyrant - technically neither "left" or "right," though given how many right-wingers love Trump, who loves tyrants, I'd say Hitler has more common with the far right than the far left. Oh, and let's not forget how the Neo-Nazis and KKK all voted for Trump, a right-winger.

It amazes me that in this day and age people can be so ignorant to think that just because the Nazi party had the word "socialist" in it, that they clearly are "left-wingers." Come on, man... they never were socialist, or do you think that because the People's Republic of China has the word "Republic" in it, they have the same form of government as the US, also a Republic? Ugh...

My goodness, your ignorance knows no bounds.

Don't forget to say the right are Nazis.

Need proof the left is just using these minority groups and doesn't actually care about their issues? Look no further than the left's attitude towards Islam, a group who actually are bigots, and how they feel about gays. But when a white christian has a MILD take on gays like, we cant redefine the term marriage, lets give them equal rights but not call it marriage they call them bigots.

Hitler was more to the left than the right. He was your typical socialist protectionist with RADICAL views on Jews and blacks. Also don't pretend like Neo-Nazis and KKK are a big voting block. The SPLC says there's 5k KKK and 400 Nazis. Which combined is like .00001% of the population and those numbers are likely inflated. Kids larp online as Nazis because the left has been calling everyone a Nazi. It's a joke.

Why don't you test your theory? Go to the most right-wing fundamentalist Christian place you can think of -- somewhere in the Deep South, perhaps? -- and announce that you are gay. Then go to pretty much any Muslim country, especially those in the Middle East, and say the same thing. Report back on your findings.

I've experienced very little of that, and I am capable of defending myself if needed. Most people these days just don't care about people's private lives anymore. They know too many good gay people to harbor the old hatreds of years ago. You've won, you just don't know it yet because infrequent examples of hate are magnified to no end in order to perpetuate your loyalty to democrat politicians, who make tons of promises but seldom deliver.
