And per their previous posts, so are most of the black posters who frequent the forum. They're college-educated, have nice jobs, own their own homes, go on vacations, etc.

What's the old saying by Henry Ford? "Whether you think you can, or think you can't - you're right."

The entire system that protects wealth and property is built on tax money. That's what is so funny about all of these internet wannabe Rush Limbaughs who think they are part of the elite wall st types because they have a few grand in e-trade accounts, and think they are smarter than everyone else. They are going to strike it rich, while the rest of the fools punch clocks or look to the government for hand outs.

If you actually were one of the truly wealthy people in the US, you would realize that: the police, the courts, and the government are all in the business of preserving your status and keeping those who don't have your status away from you.

But, very few people on this board who regurgitate the "taxes are slavery" memes of would be oligarchs are actually within a sniff of those people, they've just bought into a philosophy that has fooled them into thinking they are something special because they can call other people lazy.

Exactly without the police to protect private property it would all collapse. According to conservatives a place like Somalia should be a paradise free of crime poverty despair.

What conservative says that?
What most true conservatives believe in is smaller, more stream lined efficient government, not a complete absence of government.
How many Federal law enforcement agencies do we have? How many do we need?
We have Federal law enforcement, state law enforcement and local law enforcement. In some places add county law enforcement.
How much is a fair tax? As it stands the middle class seems to shoulder every increase that comes down the pike.
Own a home pay more property tax.
Have a good job pay more income tax.
I would prefer a flat tax where everyone pays the same percentage. A vat tax on sales of all non-food items to pay for health care. etc.

The society is structured to favor the hardworking people. Work hard and work smart is why they are wealthy.

Except for the few trust fund babies, all the millionaires and billionaires are workaholic. Nobody becomes rich by watching TV and posting on discussion boards.

What? The vast majority of the conservatives believe the government must enforce the laws and protect the people!
