Fantastic!
Why announce it...just do it. Using charity for good publicity - how valiant.
Trump's smart as a fox. This whole business with the players and the National Anthem was deliberately stirred up by the President himself and his advisors to keep attention away from the fact that he has failed to keep any of his campaign promises and the Russian investigation.
I don't support what some of the players have done. They are media celebrities and have at their disposal other venues that give them face time to express their political views. They do what they do and face the backlash from the fans.
Exactly this. He is divisive like lot of people pointed out. He could just let this issue slide down. Instead made it a big issue vs national anthem. Sports, ESPN and Race, everything in one package. I am not sure disrespecting national anthem is a good idea from other side. Sports suppose to unite the nation. But we are going in other direction.
