No, they don't get to play that game. They don't get to be "patriotic" and demand black NFL players be fired for not saluting the flag on order while at the SAME TIME electing Trump, a slimebag who dodges the draft and doesn't pay his taxes. They don't get to demand people be fired for protesting while at the SAME TIME defending the bigoted clowns who protested the removal of Confederate statues.
Actually they do get to demand all of those things. They demand it by either watching or not, going to games or not, or buying NFL merchandise or not.

That's not a right though.

Everyone can vote with their dollar, but those who voted for Trump don't get to play the patriot or claim the moral high ground, and the countless right-wingers who supported the white-extremist protesters in Charlottesville don't get to condemn the black, non-violent ones at the NFL games. Anything else is hypocrisy, and while even hypocrites have money to spend, no amount of money will buy them respect.

OK - but if their employer has no opinion, allows it, or encourages it, it is a De Facto right of theirs.

One wonders...

I wish he'd show 1/10th of the passion about real issues instead of weighing on these matters.

I wish he showed passion for being the President of the USA (and when I say the USA, I mean ALL of the USA, not just those that voted for him).

Trump politicized sports because with all the crap he's starting with North Korea and other serious issues, he knows that much of America will always rally up when they can collectively talk about blacks. All of a sudden there is no other issue when you can talk about those "privileged blacks being disobedient and ungrateful". And it worked like a charm.

[quote=wutitiz;49609830]Didn't President Obama say that if he had a son, the son would not be permitted to play football?

No. He said, if he had a son, he'd look like a hoodrat in Florida...........
