Movies and books like 1984 and V For Vendetta are ringing more true then people care to know.

Also agree. That's why we have the Second Amendment. However, we can still voluntarily show respect to our country if we so choose.

So, if allowing people to kneel during the pledge leads to anarchy

Does, forcing people to stand during the pledge, similarly lead to totalitarianism?

You forgot "no borders".

Well, no one should have to be educated, right? Let's add "no education" required either. Some don't seem to be getting much from the time and money spent anyway.

You folks need to get your priorities straight and pay attention to what the pols you DID vote for are doing and be just as critical/vocal about it.

This is nothing compared to what Obama did.
They are simply mouthpieces for CNN, their priorities are spoonfed to them.

Exactly! Think 2nd Amendment rights, of course, that is another thing for the "no" list also.

There wouldn't be this discussion if Trump was doing a bad job. The resistance is dying. Hey, it could be worse, if we had a President Clinton, she wouldn't even let people live that didn't behave the way she liked, and there is history with the Clintons to prove that.

We, well those educated enough to actually think and reason, don't fall in line like the liberals. We weight what everyone says, to include Trump, and make up our own minds. We don't just follow the media like sheep (liberals). I guess since liberals do that with their "leaders", they expect that those that support are President are equally gullible.

Good for you. So you used your "educated" mind to weigh that you like the precedent of public figures demanding retaliation for private citizens' freedom of expression, just because this event happens to fit with your own personal opinion. You're a real "freedom-loving Patriot."

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Not sure why it is so bad. Maybe it is the one nation under God part, I don't know. sheesh

You are already robbed at gunpoint and don't care (taxation).

You are already their slave and don't care (forced to use the fruits of your labor as they wish).

Why not be forced to stand for two minutes? It's clear they've broken you folks.

I don't fear Trump - I did fear Obama when he started to divide the races even more than they were and apologizing to other world countries for our nation.

Unsurprisingly, you've thoroughly missed the point.

It has nothing to do with it being "bad" or "good"
