So yeah, I'll defend them. You really wanna go after Muslims so bad, but what about when the group going after them is done...and they turn on YOUR group?

Whatcha gonna do then? (Besides cry)
I don't want to go after Muslims.

I want to protect my family, community, and country from people who want to do harm, regardless of race or religion or culture or politics.

Never thought about that part. However, I do suspect this. What I see in that person is a mentally unstable, angry man who probably wanted revenge of some kind.

Gunman in Tennessee church shooting ID'd as Sudan immigrant

A masked gunman who killed a woman and injured six others at a Tennessee church on Sunday has been identified by police as a legal U.S. resident who came from Sudan in 1996.

...
Samson, a resident of neighboring Rutherford County, was treated and released from Vanderbilt Medical Center. He was transported to jail and charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder charges, police said.

Sudan... great.

Death penalty... within two weeks.

Absolute double standard on the coverage and the national interest.

Agree.

There is no coverage of this terrorist attack. Maybe a footnote at the end of a few news programs.

A man shoots 7 innocent people and a brave, young hero stops him murdering more than one church woman, but it was found on Page 14 of NYTimes. Kneeling NFL black millionaires were on the front page.

The Press ignoring this murderous story in Tennessee is a perfect example of why people don't trust the media.

Again because it isn’t it a terrorist attack. A guy who used to go to that church shoots and kills people of all races. Claims he is some type of god. Clearly he is the mentally unstable type. You guys are trying to stoke religious and ethnic division for no reason. In fact it has been repetitively mentioned that the shooter moved here from Sudan when I be was four or five but you guys act like that shaped his 21 other years of life completely. SMH and Republicans call liberals out for stoking racial violence when their trying to make a racial or Islamic attack out of anything.

Again the story in Dallas were Nine people died barely got any news coverage. In fact this got more coverage on CNN than that story. So no it isn’t a media plan it is Justin that when their are already 352 mass shootings his year already that CNN simply can’t report all of them, especially one win a low body count yet this still managed to make the news.

He's not a US Citizen, so he isn't registered to vote. That's when you declare a party. So he's not in any party. Anyone can lookup TN voter registration online to prove that he's not registered.

No, rather than punishing everyone for the criminal's crime, they would simply lock these sorts of dangerous people up and throw the key away (not take everyone's guns away).

And isn't it interesting that the places with the tightest gun control are the most dangerous? Why wouldn't they be? The criminal doesn't care if he's not supposed to have a gun and the law abiding citizens don't want to break the law--a win lose situation. What criminal wouldn't like to be able to commit crime with impunity?

And the irony is... who stopped this shooter? Who would have stopped him had all these wonderful gun laws you're salivating over would have been in effect? The answer is nobody would have until a bunch more people were dead and the cops got their asses out of the donut shop.

Well, nothing was stopping the shooter.

Perhaps, and just bear with me here, deterrance should be applied before people end up dead.

Or not. I stopped caring after Sandy Hook. As another poster said, it's just another day in the USA.

It didn't play well with the media. No racism involved, not enough people killed, legal gun owner uses gun to subdue shooter and hero stood up and disarmed the shooter without police help. That and the shooter was an immigrant.
