Who is Bob and who is this "we" he references? The voices in his head?
The "Bob" is me.
I always sign my post, and I assume the "we" that the author of the article mentioned is the general public that attends football games.
We have tolerated your drug use and DUI's, your domestic violence, and your vulgar displays of wealth. We should be ashamed for putting our admiration of your physical skills before what is morally right.
Perhaps if you'd raised your voices then, you wouldn't look as hypocritical as you do now. Just a thought.
Bear in mind, I did not write this article, I copied and pasted it from another forum.
I believe it does cause some to think about this kneeling crap.
Bob.
Just because you had someone else speak for you does not mean you did not agree, in fact maybe had you had the honesty and drive you would have written what You thought for yourself, but then again the above post proves exactly how you truly feel.
Do Not Hide Behind Other Mens Words, stand up for yourself, be openly honest, I find it results in enemies and friends, the enemies always have been and the friends will always be .
Football lost me and my monetary support back during the big strike.
But for good measure, keep your politics to yourself when others fund your lifestyle. Take your grandstanding for your personal causes to the cause, not the people who pay you.
Some only believe that blood shed for freedom, was only for them and their agenda- that is a a true falicy, yet many attest to it not understanding what freedom really means .
The kneeling players have a right to their free speech, and as was recently discussed about others exercising free speech, one must be prepared for the consequences of that speech. I highly doubt many of the people railing on those who think kneeling is disrespectful spend one dime toward NFL anything. But many of those who think it is disrespectful are avid football fans. This will manifest itself in loss of dollars to the NFL. Not too bright on their part.
Not on the field. It is the paying people's time. No political stand.
