Aid begins to flow to hurricane-hit Puerto Rico - POLITICO

Quote:
Rossello and other officials praised the federal government for planning its response in detail before the storm hit, a contrast with what Puerto Rico has long seen as the neglect of 3.4 million Americans living in a territory without a vote in Congress or the electoral college.

"This is the first time we get this type of federal coordination," said Resident Commission Jenniffer Gonzalez, Puerto Rico's non-voting representative in Washington.
Some of you need to stop reading BS from the WaPo, CNN, and other leftist screeching rags who are lying to you.

Trump's "Brownie, you're doing a great job moment." Acting Homeland Security secretary thought things were going great in PR with the "it's a great news story." This Administration is a disaster.

If this was the Obama administration doing the same thing Trump is doing, the liberals and media would label him as a "hero" and would praise his response to the disaster amid the circumstances.

Excellent post!

In addition, regarding this quoted bit, I posted similar a couple of days ago, and was called a wingnut, even though I had citations. Yeah, like I made all that up. Libs did the same thing to the poor people caught in the Gatlinburg fires a few months ago.

Yup, last time I crewed a CH47 (2009)...they can do about 2-3 hours of flight time on a full tank (1000 gallons) cruising....and the flight time goes down the closer you get to Max Gross (50K) you may get 1.5 hours if your lucky....
That's a long damn flight (2200 miles)....

It's the attaboy/ah sh()t thing. You can get one attaboy after another after another, but then when you get one ah sh()t, all the attaboys zero out and you start all over.

PR is about 3500 square miles. The electric grid is dead. Cell service is non- existent on most of the island. The entire level of local governments has been disabled by the hurricane, according to FEMA. This is bigger than FEMA.

Don't know why loaded planes are not arriving/ departing in San Juan 24 hours a day.

Why did it take so long to appoint a general to take charge of the relief efforts?

Media has shamed the Admin to take action.
Sure, you Left-wingers will always find an excuse to slam the Trump administration, but in your blindness, you couldn't see the the failures of the Obama Administration, which are many.

Why don't you volunteer to go to Puerto Rico to help instead of sitting in your cushy surroundings and criticizing Trump?

Perhaps the USS Comfort was on another mission, deployed elsewhere. The airport had no air traffic control center functioning due to the storm, making landings difficult (if not impossible) to do safely.

Sometime one has to think before shooting off their mouth.

No, not smart, but then again, that is your vision of the only way to utilize helicopters.

Leave it to people who have operated choppers before.

Drop crates on top of houses....

Its a good thing you are not in charge. Everything is impossible in your mind.
