Prove that they are failures? Racism has been affirmative action for whites for 3 centuries. That seemed to work out pretty well for you all.....despite being seen as racist.....how people look at you negatively does not seem to bother you.
When you see a black doctor and an Asian doctor, you know the Asian doctor must be awesome and the black doctor must have got in the medical school because of AA not because of his/her ability.
If that doesn’t bother you, nobody can help you.
Blacks problems are not political parties......its the corrupting racist elements embedded within both parties.
As long as the blame is placed on both political parties (on others), the problem will continue for generations to come. The day one realizes that the problem is within oneself, that's the day one has the opportunity to brake the chains and pull out of it. One can spend a lifetime blaming others for one's problems, which is nothing more than going through life feeling like a victim.
That is besides the point. I am addressing the claim that the democratic party is not doing anything for blacks. If they tried to.....they could not get enough white votes to win national elections in the modern era.
Obama won two national elections and couldn't do it without white voters. He was a democrat. I'm fairly sure about that.
Obama was a failure is so many ways and his legacy will be one of failure but it's not a failure of America or the Democrat party who did what you say can't be done. The fact that Obama didn't preform the way you wanted him too is Obama's failure and the failure of race based expectations. The same expectations are now using gender to advance the cause.
In light of that, if Democrats are to make a difference for blacks, following their methods, then they need to be able to fund programs and policies. Hence, you cannot say that Democrats are failing blacks when the opposition parties goes is to derail government spending and programs. When people say that Democrats have failed blacks, one can look at that as Republicans succeeded in preventing democrats from having policies and programs for blacks.
Still not answering the question, but might be my fault for not being clear -- what policies and programs do blacks need that the rest of us don't???
Please be specific as this is confusing to those of us who think of blacks as equals not as victims, and expect the same behavior with the same strengths and weaknesses as the rest of us. As I mentioned in another post, blacks in America have had more handouts, more programs, more opportunities, more help and attention focused on them than any other demographic on the planet, so what exact special programs are you saying that they are needing now?
OP -- THIS is why Rs say the Ds fail blacks -- Rs don't think blacks need special coddling or are victims -- they are perfectly up to the task like the rest of us. It's you democrats who think blacks are inferior and need all these special programs and handouts with your low expectations of blacks.

One can argue that Obama was a failure....but that could just mean that republicans were a success at obstruction.
