The mayor of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico cast serious doubt Saturday on the claims made by San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz, who has repeatedly attacked President Trump and accused him of abandoning Puerto Rico in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria.
Guaynabo’s mayor, Angel Perez, said in an interview with The Daily Caller that his experience with the federal government has been different from Cruz’s, in part because — unlike Cruz — he has been participating in meetings with officials from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and other federal agencies.

Of course the anti-Trumpers aren't going to acknowledge this, but they will continue to prop up and promote the claims of Cruz.
The Governor of PR also praised the recovery efforts.
Seems only this mayor, with political aspirations, has a beef with the US government response.
There is some politics going on. She even got a time to print a t-shirt with a message and attend interview. Out of all those mayors, left media goes to her and Clinton jumps on it. Now she is complementing federal agencies effort. Asking for cutting red tape.
As I already posted somewhere else. Until PR gets a grip on its political system, nothing is likely to change. In a country that is 100x35 miles, there should be 4 or 5 political districts , not 78. It is no wonder there is no cooperation. You gave 78 mayors jockeying for their own self interests and this is what happens.
The best thing to come out of this hurricane might be a modern power grid (thank you USA), and the revelation that their political system needs a radical.
