I bet if those two players held up a mock firearm during the prayer or anthem, the coach would be impressed.
It's a PRIVATE high school (not a public one), and the name of the school is Victory and WORSHIP Academy. Given that, I doubt very many parents who are paying that tuition are going to have an issue with the coach requiring their sons to pray.

Wrong. Read the thread so far.

Many of us thought it's a private school, but it's not that either.

It's essentially a church team for homeschooled students affiliated with the same church.

Great job by the coach. Protest on your own time, not school time.

BTW, your eyerolls are meaningless. You have no idea what you speak of, so the eyerolls make you look even sillier doing it.
Notice that he stopped referencing the SCOTUS decision when he was starkly confronted with the fact that the school in question isn't public and that the SCOTUS decision is re a public school.

He knows he's wrong.

Did the coach also do a terrific job when he forced the students to disrobe in front of the whole audience? That was very inappropriate.

This is a Catholic school. People send their children to these private schools so that their religion is intertwined with their academics and values are instilled. Prayer is part of their day, how wonderful. I admire the coach for following through and telling them to leave the game. If they lost a family member while in service, would they be so quick to kneel.

Three Catholic high schools in our diocese told their athletes that if they knelt, there would be consequences. We should be hearing more of this.

Who am I kidding though...
This is a coach that has the utmost respect for his country and serviceman. A man to be admired.
