Okay.... try this on for size, people. The very day that gun silencer bill was to be put up for review they had the congressional shooting in DC where Steve Scalise was shot and almost killed. That delayed the committee vote. Now it passed and was up for a full vote this week... and they have this shooting in Las Vegas. And they're using that to demand that the bill's vote be put off indefinitely. Hillary herself remarked that the carnage would have been much worse had silencers been used.
Can they be any more transparent in their open displays of terror and evil? This massacre reeked of being politically motivated and there is no way this man operated alone in working out the logistics of it and acquiring that arsenal of weapons. Carefully selected assault rifles with more than he'd ever use, unless he had been expecting others to join him.
Dig into his past and you'll find he had contacts politically and crossed paths with federal agencies.

You are absolutely right but everyone else will claim that as a tinfoil hat conspiracy.

Really? Why did Hillary shill against suppressors then?

Edit to Add: come to think of it. A suppressor would have resulted in less rounds down range if fire from a fully automatic AR/M series rifle, as the suppressor would cause the gun to run hot and dirty causing cyclic issues around 90-100 rounds fired.
Which would have resulted in a clogged gas tube short strokes and failures to eject or feed.

There are plenty of people who amass large gun collections all on their own. I don't see why this guy couldn't have been any different.

Comparing accidents (unintentional) with murder? Really, all people die eventually, but intentionally snuffing random peoples lives out is ok with you?

How in the hell can this thread NOT include a discussion about gun control.

So, a man from a state that requires no permit to buy firearms, nor requires him to license or register a firearm, allows the purchase of as many firearms as his heart desires, kills 58+ precious lives and gives, heaven knows, how many more people a life of total agony (paralysis, nerve problems, mental issues etc..).

Nah.. No pertinent discussion there.

Of course there is a law. Restrict gun ownership to some reasonable number, like 3. He was only able to finish off so many people because he was able to hop from gun to gun. Outlaw gun sales over the internet. Outlaw magazines or cartridges or whatever they are called, that allow someone to shoot 30 bullets in a few seconds. Outlaw the sale of kits that allow someone to modify a semi-automatic into an automatic.

I guess we're just restricted to statements of "thoughts and prayers."

What a dumb thing to say. Yes, it's ok with me. Are you happy now? I was comparing numbers and how 40,000 people die each year in car accidents and almost no one bats an eye at that number.

Because it will get sidetracked from this one event. Other events will be brought up, laws in various states and countries, etc., etc. This is about this one event only. Discuss gun control in general, and including this event, in a separate thread for that purpose.
