WHO THE HELL CARRIES ALMOST 400 POUNDS OF CHIT IN A HOTEL!?!?

Would have struck me as odd! Bigly!

Not saying the casino dropped the ball...

There's also that part where he and a woman said you're all going to die... they should have immediately informed the police. That's a threat of active terrorism. Same as bomb on a plane.

Had I been the lighting guy at the concert. I'd have shut the flood lights off and royally messed the shooters parade up.

If and when suppressors do work, they could help a criminal get away with a crime. When they don't work, what's the point of having one, anyway?

I still don't see any good reason to make them more accessible. There are other forms of hearing protection for shooters, and from what you are telling me, they are much more effective.
It's for hearing protection. When hunting you don't have time to stop and put in ear plugs. By that time the critter is usually long gone. Guys shoot hundreds of rounds at the range and there are farms nearby. I'm sure they would love the noise to go away as would the wildlife/people traveling through.

Did you know you can easily make a suppressor out of an oil filter? They just aren't legal.

This folks is what is wrong with our country. IT seems we are all so ANGRY. All because personally we feel that our thoughts and opinions are the correct thoughts and opinions and any other way makes us ANGRY.

I will not be surprised if we find out this madman planned this for months because he was ANGRY about some political and/or religious belief he had that was not being implemented.
can't agree more, common sense just seems to evaporate

Pretty sure most hotels don't care who's wheeling in legal firearms. I've never had a problem and I hunt AZ, NV, Utah and Colorado. Besides CA of course. Even here in CA long guns don't even have to be locked up when I travel.

Like the prohibition on alcohol and drugs only makes them more attractive and higher priced for lesser quality the same would happen with firearms. Illegal sources would dominate the market eliminating even the mostly effective method of background checks and similar laws.

In this case the shooter seems, based on his brother's descriptions, to not have displayed any abnormal behavior before the incident. From other information he started legally buying an arsenal several weeks or months ago as part of the planning of this atrocity.

My GUESS is he had some form of brain injury and went off the deep end. I hope he did not destroy his brain while committing suicide. Or he is a case of Demonic Possession. This is pretty much the same as brain damage.

Dropping a dime on a TWEAKER with stolen guns is a good thing. Do you have a reason why it isn't.

Yes I read that earlier. Those are perfectly legal and previously considered just as useless range toys because they are difficult to control for anything approaching accuracy, and somewhat clumsy because you have to hold the weapon and your trigger finger a certain way. I can only assume he also used it in combination with some tripod because otherwise his rounds would be hitting all over southern Nevada.

Awaiting more info...

But didn't you just say that they don't work at long distances?
