So now they're trying to turn Paddock into another Howard Hughes. They're playing up his wealth and love of casinos and now he was some kind of a health nut who was in bed for days moaning and screaming. This is like a bad TV plot.
I'm glad the Las Vegas Sheriff has acknowledged the elephant in the room, that Paddock could very possibly have had an accomplice or accomplices.
So far we know he scouted out hotels in Chicago and Boston as well.
He made reservations at the Blackstone in Chicago, overlooking Grant Park for Lollapalooza, but never actually showed up or checked in. THAT'S a HUGE crowd, but much smaller hotel which would have been more inclined to see WAY too much "luggage" being carted up to his room.
one could reap the same mental therapy you speak of from gardening!
Perhaps.
There are many techniques that one can use to clear the mind.
It may be a need, however, of many things to achieve a certain level.
It has been commented that this man may have saw his life coming to an end and had never really achieved anything to make him famous, so he picked this way to make a name for himself.
Where is my name written down? Who will remember me when I am gone, how do I achieve that life's achievement?
I am a dedicated servant to the State. My life is mostly focused to doing the martial type things. I see in my students' eyes the inspirations they draw from me (which is one of those things that keeps me from doing despicable actions in a world where it seems everyone thinks it is okay to do your own thing). When I am gone, they will say, "Tamara, she did so many things (that she could openly talk about).".
Gardening may not fit my design of things; marksmanship does fit what it means to be me.
In some ways, perhaps it is a bad thing, given what we have gone through, that there many images in the movies that ego boost my image of me. "Kelly" in Charlie's Angels in "Bullseye" being the crack shot. The defecting KGB general in "The Living Daylights" saying "Some of the best KGB snipers are women.". Daphne in "Prisoner in the Middle" being the Israeli markswoman. Emily Mortimer as hitlady Dakota Parker in "Formula 51". A bad thing, given that we might blame Hollywood for this situation.
In some ways, though, a good thing for it promotes women to show what is possible through practice, to be something that you are better than men.
Being a gardener really doesn't support that. In fact, in relation to the latter "some ways", it's rather being stereotyped.
Finally, I recall what another officer once told me when we were shooting on a ship's range on a folling deck.....................
..................."WOW! Where did you learn to shoot like that?".
Valium 10 mg daily would suggest to me it was used to help him sleep. Muscle aches or anxiety would be prescribed every 4-6 hours as needed. 10 mg is a large dose. Most people would fall asleep with a 1-2 mg dose.
Good point. My views would be considered conservative (I'm Libertarian), and I've attended Lollapalooza MANY times. I've also attended The annual Monster (energy drink sponsor) Mayhem Festival at Tinley Park.
I like classically trained metal musicians. Interesting arrangements. /shrug
