Rubbish, all death concerns me but that is pretty irrelevant in a debate about the exceptionally high numbers of people shot to death, yes there are other ways to kill but the easy access to firearms in the US has meant that not only are the numbers of people shot to death exceptionally high but the murder rate itself in the US is exceptionally high.
Where do MOST of the people shot with a gun live?
If you want to help solve the problem, GO TO WHERE THE MOST SHOOTINGS OCCUR.
Look up the stat and you will see that the VAST MAJORITY of gun shootings occur in inner cities.
To restrict the rest of the American citizenship is useless in solving the problem.
More trucks plowing into large crowds are you going to stop building semi-trucks next?
The difference is there is action being taken on the ground in relation to vehicle attacks at events and we are even designing out terrorism including using subtle and not so subble barriers and seperating pedestrians and vehicles where appriopriate in crowded areas, whilst the police have new Talon anti-vehicle mats and the intelligence services are constantly trying to prevent terror attacks.
Gun control is a quick fix to make those who support it, feel good about themselves, after a mass killing with guns. As far as the politicians pushing for gun control, they don't care, all they want is votes....money, and power. No matter what, they will continue to chip away at gun laws, until there are no guns, and then, watch the criminals come out of the woodwork.
I bet a whole lot of criminals in Texas fear going into homes and robbing them, b/c they know they'll get shot...oh yes, some are still crazy enough to do so, but if the home owner doesn't get them, the neighbor surely will. And they by all means, deserve to get shot. Anyone who harms the property of others, deserves to get shot.
There are already over 300 million guns in America. The actual number? Nobody knows.
If America were to lose ten thousand guns a day, it would take 82 years to be gun free. And that's if there's ONLY 300,000,000.
Get used to mass shootings, folks - it has become our reality.
While I disagree that mass shootings have become our reality, the problem we have is not a "gun" problem. Guns aren't the problem. That's a subterfuge.
The real problem is we have become a country that has lost it's moral foundation.
Can't prevent, can only make less severe.
As the song says,
"God is great, beer is good, people are crazy."
