I don't really care about the founding fathers, and I don't understand peoples' fetishization of them. That's some 1950's public school brainwashing as far as I'm concerned.
Therefore the fact that so-and-so technology predates the constitution is completely irrelevant to me.
Well that'a quite obvious. Perhaps you'd be better off living in a different country. Maybe North Korea or Venezuela? At least there you can live under the rules you wish to impose on the rest of us.
Is it about gun laws, or is it more of a societal issue, and lack of inner city, gang violence? Chicago, California, New York and many other cities, and states have very, very strict gun laws, and gun bans. There is still a high number of murders committed using guns in those places. You won't see gangs, drug dealers, and other criminals turning in their guns. The buy them illegally on the street, or steal them. There will always be an underground market for illegal guns.
Plus, unless the Constitution is amended, and the 2A repealed, you can not legally disarm law abiding citizens.
Hawaii has more societal issues then Alaska, yet it has way fewer murders. Why is that?
You are right, there will always been an underground market for illegal guns. Except the more rare guns get, the more expensive and out of reach they will become. You won't have every thug in every city walking around with a pistol tucked in his waistband.
IMO we need stricter gun laws. What we have right now isn't working and the amount of gun deaths is staggering.
Chalk up yet another big-govt advocate who believes
(a) We should give government the authority to regulate out personal guns, and
(b) Government legislation can somehow do something to solve the problem.
...despite years (actually centuries) of experience proving otherwise, on both counts.
It's illustrative to note that, despite the admitted failure of all the "gun control" legislation we've had so far, the big-govt advocate's reaction isn't to give up on a failed program. Instead, it's to pile on MORE regulations and restrictions!
Sort of like the captain of the Titanic, instead of getting the passengers to abandon ship, backs the ship up and slams the OTHER side into the iceberg, hoping that doing that enough will right the listing ship and save the day.
Gun murder rate, even with the increase in the inner city, is at a 50 year low. Every year it keeps getting better unless your in St. Louis, Detroit, Baltimore etc.
Your reliable insults toward our Country and it's citizens isolate you from relevancy and assure those like you will never win a national election any time soon. So keep it up. Everyone's listening!

Me moving to North Korea won't make mass shootings any less frequent in America.
But I forgot , y'all don't care about mass shootings. They're just the price everyone else has to pay so y'all can own weapons you don't need.

some interesting stats and graphs regarding gun violence in America vs other places.

There are laws against murder. Stephen Paddock didn't obey those. Would Stephen Paddock obey gun laws?
