I'm DONE with the false emotion. Your crocodile tears are worth nothing unless you DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

I'm done with finding every excuse in the book; it's mental health issues they'll say. Except they can't use that one any more since Trump allowed mentally ill people to get their hands on guns. He has blood on his hands today and so does everyone who voted for it. And every Republican who bows down to the NRA, and pretends "It's sad, but nothing can be done about it". Stop the BS -something can be done about it. You just don't want to do anything about it. So cut the tears, they're fake.

Maybe you should understand the facts before you make accusations you know nothing of.

Here is the verbiage of that bill :

And why would it, given the details? Here’s the American Association of People with Disabilities explaining what was at stake:
This rule would require the Social Security Administration to forward the names of all Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefit recipients who use a representative payee to help manage their benefits due to a mental impairment to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS). Or, in layman’s terms: The rule would have allowed bureaucrats within one of our federal agencies to bar American citizens from exercising a constitutional right — and on the highly questionable grounds that to be incapable of managing one’s finances is, by definition, to be a “mental defective.”

So if you are saying that anyone that has someone handle their finances is mentally ill...well so be it I guess.

You use the word "lethal" as if it only applies to semi-automatic sporting rifles. You clearly know nothing about firearms.

What do you imagine it is that makes a military rifle more lethal?

I just don't understand how any logical human being can't understand that times (in this case centuries since it was written) changes. It's why the government can amend/update the constitutional amendments to be more relevant in today's world.

Hmm - shooting off hundreds of rounds in a minute which can harm hundreds of people in that time isn't more lethal than the speed of your finger pulling the trigger for single shots. You honestly don't get that? Wow.

Nobody is hiding behind anything.

Maybe you should acquaint yourself with what the facts actually are before you try to argue them?

.......just a thought.

Nearly everyone is going to be concerned about this incident, the difference between you and I is I can see the naivety of what you would suggest is going to fix the problem. The solutions you suggest will have very little effect. At the end of the day if someone wants to kill a lot of people they will do it using box cutters, a truck, pressure cookers, fertilizer and diesel fuel or guns.

Based on the footage of this event it doesn't appear to me there is anything that would of prevented him from driving a lifted 4X4 all fitted out with push bars and undercarriage protection. You can only speculate on the death toll of someone driving a truck into a crowd of 22K people but whatever it is it would be extremely high and likely much higher than the death toll from the gun.

The effectiveness of attacks like this are not based on the object used, they are based on the effectiveness of the planning and fate.
