AUTOMATIC WEAPONS ARE ALREADY ILLEGAL. Under the current gun laws in existence, automatic weapons made after 1986 are military/LE only, and to own a pre-1986 automatic weapon requires jumping through crazy amount of hoops and great expense, and also to be registered into every federal database we know of, and probably all the ones we don't know of.
I was speaking about semi-automatic weapons that look military. What about them makes them so much more lethal than non-military looking weapons?

We "took an honest look at where we are headed as a Society (and it is ugly) and we not only "considered some changes" .... We made the Changes to try and correct the problem.

Do whatever you want in traffic; people are going to run red lights, drive the wrong way and speed anyways. Try that out and see how many dead are on the highways. Just because you can't achieve a perfect 100% on any law doesn't mean they don't make a real difference.

Why do you need concealed carry without a permit? What is the logic behind that?
Because being armed in protected by the Constitution. And a "permit" implies "permission", which can be denied. It also costs money to get a concealed carry permit. Which is the same as infringed.
The same logic behind voter ID - since it costs money to obtain, it become discrimination.
