Always a pleasure to get an assist from Putin:

Russia just gave North Korea's internet a big boost - Oct. 2, 2017

But the Russians, they're our friends. right?

Too bad North Korea's citizens are restricted to what they get to access on it.

Considering the missile tech, parts, fuel and of course technological help that has enabled them to go nuclear.....you're now moaning about NK's internet help from Russia?

Anything with Putin and North Korea in it is hot news no matter the import I suppose but you sure seemed to find the junk food irresistible so win for CNN I suppose.

P.S. The entire Korean war was launched with Russia supplying gobs of WW2 surplus guns, tanks, rocket artillery etc. so I have to chuckle a little more about the "oh noes it's the interwebs"

It is the currency of the action and how it shows Putin's contempt for, and animosity to, the United States, that I find interesting.

I doubt I find the source of the article as germane as the contents.

Bandwidth and server access are as important in modern war as bullets and beans.

Mathguy, there is a pattern here..and it projects into possible futures that are volatile.

Pieces and puzzles

Why would Putin be angry with the US... The liberal media has been very kind with conspiracy theory, Fake News, and liberal propaganda... who wouldn't love that?

Russia and China provide NK with whatever it takes to keep Lil Kim provoking SK, Japan, and the USA.

And that's exactly why these "sanctions" have and never will be effective.

Russia's friendly relations with North Korea (and Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, etc...) predate mid-2016. When Putin was appointed Russia's ruler, North Korea was one of his first state visits (The first by a Russian or Soviet leader). In 2014 Putin forgave nearly all of NK's debt and signed agreements to rebuild their power grid. They also further developed the port of Rason for Russian coal exports which is primarily the reason for the ~80% increase in Russian-North Korean trade for Jan-Mar 2017.

It should also be noted that Vladimir "shirtless-wonder" Putin is the perpetrator in Cold War 2.0, not the victim. The United States is angry with Putin and justifiably so.

Yeah. This may go a long way to allowing N Koreans access to the outside world and spark some change there. Get some ideas going in thier heads.
