Who says we don't? Most liberals I know think Hollywood is a joke and their movies suck. I think it's mainly low information conservatives who pay money to watch that crap, then they come on forums like this one and complain about Hollywood
The only group that has tried to curb the violence in movies and video games are conservatives. Whenever they try to do it, liberals scream bloody murder.
And yes, liberals turn a blind eye because it is Hollywood and the entertainment industry in general.

Hey, I thought It was pretty good. Don't remember any guns in it though. Wait - Blade Runner 2049, nope no boycott.
I remember a Sylvester Stallone movie, Cobra I think it was called, where after shooting up some bad guys with a Colt 1911 type semi-auto he twirls it around his finger cowboy style before holstering it. I hope he had the safety on. So, yes, Hollywood glamourizes guns and gun violence. Not to mention unsafe gun handling. Stallone is a big anti-gun guy by the way.
Ironic how liberals want all Confederate War imagery to be removed because they think it spawns racism but yet the Hollywood elite keep making violent movie after movie and will even give out awards if the movie is good enough. Go figure.
I'm liberal and I agree. I loathe the amount of violence on film and TV.
Unfortunately violence seems to sell. I agree, it is somewhat hypocritical of Hollywood actors to condemn violence when they make money out of glamorising it.
Thanks for your honesty. I don't like modern movies, as they seem to now have non stop action sequences with people fighting, shooting, or blowing up stuff. Less, and less is the intrigue, good dialogue, and suspense. Violence does not entertain me, but I guess it does for some. I just choose not to watch it.
Because many liberals support free speech and the 2nd amendment.
