Let's not forgot the conduct and speech of our thankfully retired former President, who gloated about Bergdahl's return and praised him:

Thank God Obama is no longer in the White House.

No truth to that.

They went out on patrols that they would’ve went on anyway. Those Troops died because they were in Afghanistan....a place where they shouldn’t have been anyway.

More nonsense. No terrorists were exchanged for him. Those 5 men weren’t convicted of anything.

The only thing that's gong to matter are the particulars presented to the court, and that will include only the details of Burgdahl's personal actions.

I've read a lot of first hand accounts of WWII, and during the Bulge there were officers who stopped a mass retreat by using their Colt .45. I've read two accounts, and since it's been a while I cant remember the authors names. It's ok if you dont beleive this, but I have read accounts. None of this has anything to do with Berghdahl, sorry to go OT

Only 1 soldier has been executed, we had hundreds of deserters in every war and only one in our history.

You are forgetting our current president prejudging Bergdahl and claiming he should be shot. It’s a shame Trump never got an opportunity to demonstrate his bravery.

never saw any reputable source for this piece of fiction
I saw interviews with the men who went looking for him. They themselves stated they lost friends looking for him.

Is that a good enough source for you?

They got killed because they were in Afghanistan. They’re there to do patrols. Patrols lead to ambushes. Everyone knows that but you, apparently.

Those guys would’ve gotten killed regardless. You think that the enemy declines to shoot you just because you’re on a manhunt?

I wanted to leave my post in 'Nam but it was too far to swim back to The World. So I became more involved with the river rats and that cured my boredom. It is difficult to remain bored during an ambush.
