The fire dept. fired him for this. They didn't transfer him, they didn't suspend him -- they FIRED him. The union supports this firing. There is more to it.
They know he was making a dig. There is no way a union would allow this kind of firing without trying to transfer or work with this guy if there wasn't more to it. We all know how unions are.
We all know how the SJWs are when they smell blood in the water.
So if they think this guy was being insensitive it would seem it was a 'teaching moment' (what a liberal thing to say). Sensitivity training would help to educate him -- it really shouldn't be 'punishment'....
