I seem to remember in Desert Storm fighters also laid down their weapons and surrendered. We thought back then, "okay we're outta here."

Isis just keeps slipping away and reconstituting itself in other parts of the world. People have their eyes on Syria and are not aware of terrorist threats in other places. One of the least covered stories in the media is that an Isis affiliate in the Philippines have captured and held the town of Marawi on the island of Mindanao for months despite counter attacks by the Philippine and US military.

Sounds good on paper, so to speak, but then what? These aren't uniformed combatants fighting for a country, the war's over and they back to their farms, factories, shops and offices.

They're murdering, raping, and worse religious fanatics. Where will they go? Do YOU trust them to be peaceful and tolerant? I don't.

Most importantly, how do we keep them out of the US? Like forever.

Whose military? Certainly not ours. Are people in the US going to take credit for the toppling of ISIS like they do for winning WW2?

You seriously believe this?

If Putin by spending $300,000 on facebook and twitter actually turned the election to Trump despite Hillary spending a billion dollars that is pretty much impossible. I was surprised Russia was so cheap with their ad buying.

Did not vote for Trump but did not care much for Obama either. I would say taking a more aggressive tone with ISIS like dropping that mother of all bombs on them does send a different message than Obama was doing. I think it has a ripple effect on things like this.

I would prefer we just pulled out like both Obama and Trump said they would do but if we are there at least destroy them.

God, but you people outright cherish lying, don't you? Listening to them and re-telling them.

Trump deserves 100% of the credit. I fully expect a Nobel Peace Prize to be forthcoming.
