Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it, and then your the one that is going to have to live with it. Just take a good look at history of people promising utopia, people like Lenin, Stalin and Mao come to mind.
There is no Utopia...... Democracy is about the equality of individuals, supporting a premise of "majority rule".
Based on the premise of the Constitution and the Laws that Support it, we should be intellegent enough to respect the premise of equality, and make choice and vote for the best that benefits the mass, by majority rule.
Lenin, Stalin and Mao, had none of that in mind.
What may come is many things, but we do know that A.I. is coming, (Artificial Intelligence), and however it arrives in mass saturation, its decisions will be based on some logical premise set to an algorithm.
We better get intelligent very quickly, if we expect to live in a world where "things' use A.I. to make choices and decision and we are heading now in a direction where we will be the recipients as well as the beings those decisions will be directed toward, at, upon and unto.
It is highly likely, we'd want to abolish, "bigotry", "racism", and such things, before we are saturated into a changed environment which is demonstrating that change "everyday".
People are tripping on silly stuff like bias, and bigotry and racist madness, and are blind to what is reality. Now days, the whole society is hooked on "swiping a credit/debit card, jobs are encouraging electronic deposit, and everything from Newspaper Racks to Soda and Snack machines have a card reader, and Online shopping uses digital process where no paper money is seen changing hands. That tells us were technology is, one can deposit a paper check by snapping a picture, "nothing" absolutely "nothing" anyone can do regarding public services is done without the computer, and now the advance in driver-less vehicles may seem like a novelty, but cars are backing up a parking themselves all over American, nothing about a vehicle is without a digital connection of some sort using data; it won't be long before the game that is changing Taxi's from a fixed company, to Uber, will make its next change to using driver-less cars. Fast food places talking about robotic kiosk
and we are tripping on what someone skin color is, or what ethnicity their family is. It's insane.
Trillions of Dollars move around the globe every day, and not one physical paper bill moves in the process, its all done digitally. People even buy, sell and trade drugs with crpypto-currency. People now can buy a Degree online and never step into a class room.
We simply need to let go of fictions about the past, and wake up..... There is no return to white dominance, and no return to black slavery, and no more denigrating people from various other foreign lands. There is: "PEOPLE"
We better learn to respect what that means, and work on what matter, is "humanity and the appreciative regard to be communicable and driven with a desire to want to work together"... If that means the only achievable means to get to that, is for bigots and racist to be eradicated, we can best believe at some point, technology will fix that too.
They already have facial recogonition, and as far fetched as its sounds, they are already using it to depict things about people. Now... just where does one thinks such will lead to.... People have hidden labs everywhere, trying things we have not even considered to think about. But they have technology that will effect things, far beyond what our daily lives deal with.
It's not science fiction... That cell phone and what it can do, was once only thought to be science fiction, now that small device, holds the knowledge of a billion sets of encyclopedia's on any subject one wants to explore, and its transmitted wireless. App developers create new processes everyday.... There is little that people can do, that is not in some ways digitized and no one knows what or how that data is used in whole or in secular programmed parts and for what objectives. Every company, sends out a periodical update to their fiction of privacy, and it always tells one that the data is to be shared with other affiliates. Some place have cameras everywhere, one can't go into a big grocer and not be video checked, they even know where your eyes are focused on products on the shelves, they know what you buy, because you either swipe a card, or use one to pay, and even if you pay with cash, the date, time and transaction can be matched with digital imagery, and they know exactly who you are and what you purchased. This stuff has been in use for more than a decade or so. Your cell phone pings a tower no matter where you go, and every app wants permission to things that have nothing to do with the actual app.
Camera and mic can be remotely activated and you never know its recording, now people wire their homes with video and the little box that suppose to answer all your questions, no one else knows what else that box is collecting about you and your activities in the home. People accept this in the name of convenience and security, before long, your own refrigerator will record how many times you opened its door and what you put in or removed from it. Print a piece of paper and there are marks invisible to the eye, that knows exactly which unit printed a document. This stuff is only some of what's real in the world today. There are things that it will be decades before its made public, unless technology make a giant leap, and they have something 100 times better, only then will they make the what they feel is then rudimentary, available. As usual, we will act stunned and amazed, while the developers are decades ahead.
That should be an indicator of what we are dealing with in the true reality of life in the age of technology and information.
Would one truly think, that something as archaic as racism can survive in that climate. ?
today, we have so many people who have the difficulty even communicating their concerns and issue, who make many claims and unaware of even the details of their situation they care making a complaint about. Time and Life, is indicating to people, that the age of technology and information, is not and will not be a suitable venue for "generalized ignorance to function".... (that means people simply "not knowing the basics of what they must come to know"). Technology and life is showing us every day, how unprepared so many people are to deal with the generalized advances that our society, as a matter of fact, all the developed nations of the world is dealing with.
Places like Japan and S. Korea are so far ahead of us, in how their general public uses technology, and how they have been doing so for decades. We still have websites that can't even show a video clip without stalling, and hanging up, and these countries have been streaming content for decades far beyond the glitch prone systems we have.
Our system currently is at a stage of full circle absurdity in the public arena, because now, when one turn to a web page, "it jumps and jerks, and the incessant intrusion of "advertisement" and video ads over-riding the page script, such stuff has made it into a generalized absurdity. Actually, its an atrocity, as to how abuse and greed has damaged the processes and functions of digital web based systems.
When the social media obsessed society awakens as to how they have been made into a commodity;people will act shocked. By then, its' likely in a few years or more, things like Facebook will either have to change drastically, or go the way of Myspace, because they are abusive, and also covert in the conduct they engage, by the use of "general public as a commodity". Currently, Facebook is too valuable to the government and law enforcement, in monitoring the idiocy of people and the malice of some. Google intrudes into anything and everything, and everyone, and some countries are contesting their covert means of intrusions, but many of the general public is still unaware.
Those sitting around spinning in bias and bigotry, will only find themselves further behind and claiming they've been forgotten, because their ignorance kept them stagnated, trying to cling to some centuries old bias and racism, and delusions of grandeur based on skin... and time will find them even to be more desperate than they are now, and its all due to their own faults and creation, of being hung up on some bigotry and bias, in a delusion of superiority, as they become and make themselves even more inferior within the world and society.

The democrats want to take jobs from Americans and make the lives better for illegals and lives worse for Americans across the board. The Dems are sending illegals to college to get cheap white collar labor hurting working Americans keeping wages lower.
The only thing America needs cleansing of is, the Right Wing Conservative Ideologist, Thankfully many will die out in the next decade of so.
Maybe even the scientist can come up with something that helps that process along. But since that is not likely, hopefully all the right wingers conservative, devote themselves to the Republican "let's kill some people health programming", that should help thin the herd..

They beat their woman and leave a string of broken down women strapped with kids she can't feed, because his arrogance trying to be "Mr. Master" found him unable to even maintain himself, when there were no government hands outs and access with a "white only stamp on the entry door", so now... he is now unequipped to even begin to learn how to live in the 21st Century.
