Waco and Ruby Ridge probably sold more guns than anything else in a long, long time.

And it is interesting you bring up Waco. IIRC, one of the main reasons the feds said they had to deal with the branch davidians is because women and children were being abused. (BTW, the way to tell if an argument holds no water is if the "save the children" canard gets tossed in). So what does the government do? Burn all the women and children to death.

"All we want is sensible, common sense gun control. You can keep your guns..."

Again, that is all they have. Insults, and pure emotion. I haven't watched SNL in decades, and don't intend to. A lot of network programming is just liberal/progressive agenda pushing, even sitcoms.

Can we start by maybe just making it harder for one Dylan Roof, one Paddock .......
No, because you won't make it harder for them. As usual you liberals ignore all logic and reason and focus on the tool and not the problem. Would you be pushing for a ban on trucks if he'd driven into the crowed and killed even more people (as happened in France)? Of course not.

Absolutely NOTHING suggested by the left would have made anything harder for a Roof or Paddock, you people are all "we need to do something" with absolutely no indication of actually accomplishing anything.

Here's a British interpretation through Tracy Ullman. I must admit, this is hilarious but what I think of these types of Americans too!

1. If it is just a tool then why do we care about North Korea having nuclear weapons? Nuclear missiles are just a tool, right.

2. Vehicles are registered and insured. Guns are not.

3. We do need to do something. A gun buy back program, making sure all guns are registered and insured, and restrictions or bans on private ownership of bullets would all be good starts.

My opinion is if law enforcement can justify it then can so the citizen. I believe that to be the reasonable and logical line to draw.

1 a missile is a vehicle. A form of transportation. As is the NASA Saturn rockets that propelled the Apollo missions into space.

Vehicles are not a constitutionally protected right.

You don't know how easy it is to roll your own ammo. You just test the ingenuity of criminals. You can't ban knowledge. Good luck rounding up and regulating metals.
