One thing is for sure no GOP has offered a solution on this thread nor even shown a mote of care. Sire a post to prove me wrong.
Unfortunately reinstituting them isn't going to happen overnight thanks to liberal lawsuits, Laying the blame on Reagan is disingenuous at best a flat out lie at worst.
Until you liberals can admit your own fault in the issue, nothing is going to change.
At one time the liberal left could count on a colluding media to cover up there rewriting of history, The internet has changed all that. Even the NYT has to admit the truth.

Hundreds shot every year????

Well if you consider all gang members and fundamentalist islamists mentally compromised, along with the isolated wackjob, and jealous lover.

Mass shootings by crazies are lumped in with gang shootings to generate 'statistics' that show the large number of mass shooting in the US today. A gangbanger shoots three from an opposing gang and viola', a mass shooting to wave around by the antigun crowd.

And every time their is a shooting that makes the headlines, what do democrats off as the solution? Useless gun laws that would have had no impact on the shooting.

Like the all or nothing at all democratic philosophy, applied to all issues, mental health is just one of the issues that goes way beyond simply providing unaffordable insurance to the masses as obamacare did. MH must be viewed differently by society and community. A whole attitude shift.

Doubt if any of the above mentioned will seek the help of a mental health clinic just because they have coverage.

Mental health is just one of many variables that needs to be considered. Democrats reject partial solutions and seek the one panacea that does not exist except in academic theory divorced from reality....remove all guns from the continent, exempt, however, military, police, federal agencies and of course gangs and career criminals.

To pass more meaningless gun laws is akin to making it illegal to murder someone. Laws alone cannot control society.

The op begs the question, what have the democrats done to prevent gun violence?

Perhaps we need to look at what democrat administrations have done in chicago to stem the violence and follow their lead?

guided by the lies of the former prez, democrats and the media agree, the safest places have the toughest gun laws. So the streets in Maine are awash in blood and chicago and DC are the safest places on earth.

As the terrorist group, BLM cares so much about black lives, maybe a look at their efforts to curb the gun violence in chicago, that takes so many black lives, would be worth a look for an example to follow.

And republicans don't care?????????

by the way, plenty of democrats and republicans support the NRA and gun rights.

It's rather simple really.

You either want people who are too dangerous to own a firearm to run free in society.....

Or you don't.

The Left has shown repeatedly that they are fine with people who cannot be trusted to have a gun to walk among us.....to live next to us.

Be they mentally ill, violent felons, criminal illegal aliens or suspected terrorists.

It's all good to the Left as long as they can blame the guns when one of these people inevitably uses one to kill.

Are you serious? Have any facts?

Do the Demorats have any solutions? I haven't heard of any yet.

Why would (or should) the NRA "come out" in support of universal health care? That's a Demorat (Marxist-socialist) thing.

Are you Canadian? I notice you often tack on "eh?" at the end of a sentence.

Where do you people get this kind of B.S. from? I know ...you just make it up.

If someone is shooting, you don't stop to analyze what his reason is. A lot of people may die while your trying to decide if he might be "mentally ill." No, you shoot to protect your own life and the lives of others. A shooter must be neutralized. It's only common sense to shoot first and ask questions later. If you don't, you (and others) may not live to ask those questions.

How can people be so stupid?

The forum moderators such just close posts as this, since it's just a waste of time and effort to even read and respond to them. What the heck has happened to Americans posting emotional stuff all over the place?
No logic is right. Whenever something like this happens, the first people they (Deomorats) blame is the NRA and Republicans. It's like 1,000 Hillary parrots squawking in unison. But I'm still betting this shooter is one of them ...a Trump hating, Hillary or Sanders supporter, moved to action by their violent rhetoric, like the ANTIFA and Resist bunch they all support.

And Obama is smiling because of his accomplishment.
